It’s tricky

but don’t worry

I’m determined to keep posting!

It just might not be as often as it was (for now).

Ever feel like,

the dreams you dream at night,

and the things you aspire to be,

are just like a little paper sailboat,

lost out at sea?

The water is thrashing and crashing

and tossing about,

And the pretty little sailboat,

is just trying to stay afloat.

Yet the waves seem too big and you fear sinking in all your doubt...

  

Nevertheless, the little dream sailboat refuses to drown.

It says: "when the going gets tough,

The tough get going!

When times get rough,

The winds of determination start blowing!"

And when trouble starts brewing,

Remember that anything worth doing will have struggles,

But anything worth the struggle is worth doing!

A Truthful Secret

    Hey you.
    Yah, you, guess what!
    I have a secret to share and I can't wait to tell you. Are you listening? And remember this is totally, one hundred present, absolutely, positively, true. Ok?
    Alright here it is:

You're perfect just the way you are!

    Hey now, what's that?
    You said: "yeah right" and rolled your eyes!
    What's wrong?
    Oh, I see, you're used to them saying: "you're strange because you're not like me". Well that's not true. You are perfect just the way you are (yes you) even with all your quirks and all the different things you do.

You know, it's your quirks that make you special,

it's what you do differently that makes you great!

    It's ok. Stop trying to change yourself, stop trying to rewrite perfection. Just go ahead, embrace your personality and be who you already are! Because you seem pretty great to me, and that's the truthful secret about beautiful you.

What It Takes (Part 2)

Last month, I asked: "What does it take to achieve your Dreams?" and my answer was you had to "push yourself". But, you know, I'm finding there's more to it than that. I think fulfilling your Dreams also takes: 

Courage

To be who you are on the inside, on the outside, where everyone can see.

To try new things and having the guts to take those risks, to dig deeper, go beyond far,

yes, push yourself past what you think your limits are.

Courage

Is stepping out and trying something new,

Even if you’re afraid to.

You do it anyways despite your fears,

And stick with it even when the world sneers.

It’s overcoming the odds to achieve what you want,

It’s taking the risk to attempt that stunt.

Courage

Is being determined,
to let nothing and no one stand in your way from,
achieving your goal,
and knowing what you want with every inch of your soul.

It’s being your true self no matter what the world thinks,

No matter what the world says,

No matter what!

Courage

Is (even if to everyone else they seem impossible,

Or outrageous,

Or impossibly  outrageous)
Following your dreams  wherever they may lead you,
Cause that's how you make those Dreams come true.

The Good News



When dusk falls

                          the good news is soon dawn will rise

When life gets dry                          

               the good news is

soon will come the tides                             

When waters roughen


the good news is our souls can toughen
 

   When strife awakens fears

                                        

  

the good news is Jesus is always there to dry our tears

And when you feel you’re walking blind

   you can’t see forward

                                        all you see is what you left behind 

when your footsteps waver

and you’re not sure what turn to make

the good news is He will light the path for you to take

LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!

Aaaand while you're doing that, during the eating and the partying, you'll probably be, at some time, making your New Years Resolution!
    Aaand, you're probably expecting me to post mine tonight...
    Buuut, instead of a resolution, this year I'm doing something a little different... 
   I’m making a New Years Prayer!
    Sooo, go ahead, sit back with your fruit punch and enjoy, cause here it goes: 

Lord,

Thank you for this past year, for the all the good You’ve brought to us, all the blessing You’ve bestowed, all the challenges You’ve helped us overcome, and all the victories we’ve won! Thank you for good friends, family, food and fun. Thank you for new memories, for those little things that matter and all the precious moments we will never forget. Thank you for keeping us safe when times got rough and for never giving us anything that was too much for us to handle. Also, thank you for loving us every day, no matter what, even if we never knew it.

    Please, now, bless our nation in this coming year, bless our efforts and quiet all our fears. Please help those who cannot help themselves, give hope to those who have none, and help us to keep going even if all we want to do is quit. Please reunite those who have been separated, find those who might be lost, let the hurt stop hurting, the weak be strong, and the tired know that rest will come. And, finally, please teach us how to love each other, and give us all hope for a bright, happy future.

    Because I believe that You are good, and you have a good plan for us, so in the name of Jesus Christ I pray,

Amen!
